The Advanced Placement International Studies Program APID Program (APID):
The APID program is a beginning language program offered by the College Board. The APID program is globally recognized and is an excellent for students wishing to become fluent in another language. The APID program challenges students to display exceptional achievement on AP Exams across several disciplines. Students must take a minimum of 5 AP courses in areas specified by the College Board and must pass all 5 courses in order to receive the certificate.

Additionally, we invite the world to ISB via the Peace Corps Program: How do we bring the entire world to the ISB without ever leaving our backyard?
We can connect our classrooms with current and former Peace Corps Volunteers! The result? A vibrant exchange of ideas, stories, pictures, and artifacts that helps students in the classroom learn about the people, geography, environment, and culture of the world from volunteers living in other countries. (See PowerPoint presentation for more information on the Peace Corps Program).

Enrichment Program: Our Enrichment Program offers specialized prep courses afterschool and/or Saturdays to prepare students who choose to take the Traditional Baccalaureate ES S Sections, AP, PSAT/SAT, CLEP and TOEFL exams (see extra-curricular activities for more information).

College Prep/International Baccalaureate Diploma Enrichment Program

Students who take classes in French and English are eligible to prepare the following International Baccalaureate Diploma in our enrichment proram:

French-American Baccalaureate (BFA): The French-American Baccalaureate is an official French diploma that is recognized by all French higher education institutions on a par with the traditional French Baccalaureate. It has been elaborated in collaboration with the College Board, which guarantees its recognition in American and foreign universities alike.

Its creation will:

- make American universities more accessible to students enrolled in the French educational system in the United States;

- enable students who follow the French curriculum in the United States and wish to pursue higher education in France to receive tangible recognition of the multicultural education they have received; In schools that will deliver it, the BFA will not replace the traditional baccalaureate. It comes in addition to it, as another option available to students.
