  • ISB did not make AYP as only 15% of schools in Florida make AYP because of the way it is calculated based on different sub-groups.  Visit the website below for more information on how AYP is calculated: http://schoolgrades.fldoe.org/pdf/0910/AYPTAP2010.pdf . We had an increasing amount of ESOL students who had great difficulties this school year.  Consequently, all English teachers at ISB are required to be ESOL endorsed by June 2011 to help address the needs of that subgroup.
  • ISB received a “C” grade (493 points) because the results of our high school students were not counted in the new calculations which factor in senior’s graduation rates and readiness, AP and SAT scores… as we did not have a senior class this school year. Visit the website below for more information:  http://schoolgrades.fldoe.org/pdf/0910/Guidesheet2010SchoolGrades.pdf
